An outfit only a mother could love
Four gifts for yourself or a mother in your life that aren't clothes and outfit ideas that go along with them because life is too short to wear boring clothes
This isn’t a gift guide, but rather four hero products that I feel like are so good they have to be shared, and I think this is the perfect time to either treat yourself or the mother in your life.
We are Italian. “We…” my husband is second generation. My father-in-law grew up speaking Italian in a small Italian community in Pittsburgh after his parents moved from Naples, Italy and now his rich heritage has spilled over into my children’s upbringing. My husband always says everyone wants to be Italian, and he’s kind of right, there are so many beautiful things and ways of life that are synonymous with Italy. I keep trying to make my children adopt the siesta part of their heritage, but instead of resting, it’s more pasta and fancy cheeses.
That all being said, we are olive oil snobs. We have tried it all. This is the best. It’s an ancient variety that’s been grown in Sicily thousands of years before Christ. I love it on burrata with tomatoes and fresh bread or with shredded parmesan and castelvetrano olives.
Along those lines, this candle. It’s intoxicating. I don’t love sweet smells or fruity, I don’t really do home fragrance at all but this is just so good. You can be Italian too with this candle. If you’ve just read all of this and are really feeling Italian, check out my husband’s children’s book here.
This is like a white wine vinegar but your summer variety. Mother’s Day is to a bouquet of flowers as Summer is to a glass of rose.
This mask is being beaten to death on social media but it’s THAT good. You have to wear it all night but you wake up with a new face in the morning and that is worth the $7 a mask.
Happy Mother’s Day to you all! Sending all the love you deserve.
XOXO,
Megan
